Buddhism and, particularly, Buddhist aesthetics, is my old passion. I have written a big number of order custom essays on Buddhism and learned about different Buddhist sacred places I would like to see with my own eyes. Recently, during my short visit to Japan, I saw Ginkaku-ji, or the Temple of the Silver Pavilion located in Kyoto. After deciding to buy essay cheap about philosophy of Buddhism, I got an impression that Buddhism is the embodiment of modesty and restraint. Therefore, I was very surprised when I learned about the Temple of the Golden Pavilion, which is a Buddhist building plated with golden panelling. However, I was even more surprised when I came across the Silver Pavilion which is… not silver. Ginkaku-ji – this is the Japanese name of the Pavilion – was built in the late 15th century as an alternative to the Golden Pavilion covered with golden plates. It was planned to cover the walls of the new pavilion with silver – but it has been never done. So, the Silver Pavilion stays wooden: However, I cannot say the building looks tasteless or simple. It reproduces the Japanese architectural traditions and makes one think about many centuries this building has seen. It also perfectly fits the incredibly beautiful garden around it. The territory makes one feel relaxed, calm and happy. Now, having seen the Silver Pavilion, I would like to see its prototype, the Temple of the Golden Pavilion. I hope I will come to Japan once again and visit this famous place.
